Psalm 51:10-12 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

We all have things in our lives that we know shouldn’t be there! Even as Christians we struggle with aspects of our old sinful nature and find it hard to “crucify the old man” from before we found Jesus. It might be gossip, telling lies, pornography, sexual temptation, financial dishonesty, lack of trust in God… 

Whatever it is, use David’s heart-cry above from Psalm 51 as your prayer today.
